map and transport – http://www.smacentre.co.uk/find-us.html
The opening night preview is on Wednesday 30th November – Please note the opening night of the sale and the last day is Friday 2nd December.
We have gathered together many favourites and persuaded old friends Sia Taylor and Romy Derman to rejoin us. There will of course be newcomers too. Colourful baskets from Kenya made by a women’s cooperative; jewellery from Kabira slums in Nairobi; beaded sculptures made by John in Johannesburg; pet collars and accessories handcrafted in Staffordshire; Christmas wreaths and ornate feather headdresses; woven rugs and textiles from Bolivia; handmade steel knives from Suffolk using recycled saw blades with hand carved handles with tooled leather pouches; sculptured lamp bases by Viola Lanari.
This year we are collecting money for White Helmets charity, providing equipment for unarmed and neutral rescue workers who have so far saved more than 62,000 people from the attacks in Syria. The £2 entrance fee to The Hand Sale is always entirely donated to a charity.
